1. Who we are and the scope of this policy
Vieira Gonçalves — Saúde e Inovação, Lda ("we", "VGSI") is a Portuguese company based in Braga and focused on developing healthcare AI products. We are the controller of personal data collected through vgsi.pt.
This policy applies exclusively to data collected through the website, contact forms and newsletter. Any processing of clinical data during product evaluations or operations will be governed by institution-specific documentation, including the parties' roles, a data-processing agreement and any applicable impact assessments. 2. Data we collect
- Contact form: name, email, subject and message.
- Newsletter: email, language, source page, confirmation status and consent/cancellation timestamps.
- Technical data: language and submission timestamp.
3. Purposes and legal basis
We process your data based on your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in responding to requests and improving the service (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We use data only to respond to your contact, send the communications you subscribed to and follow up on potential collaborations.
4. Retention
Submitted messages are kept for a maximum of 24 months, unless a legal obligation or overriding legitimate interest justifies a longer period. Newsletter data is kept while the subscription remains active.
5. Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal data. We rely on trusted processors for hosting and database infrastructure (Lovable Cloud / Supabase). These providers process data solely on our instructions.
6. Data subject rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability by writing to geral@vgsi.pt. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link included in every email. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data, including access control, encryption in transit and minimisation policies.
8. Cookies and analytics
By default, we use only cookies strictly necessary for the site to function. Analytics tools, such as Google Analytics 4, are enabled only with your prior consent.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated. We will publish the date of the last revision here. Material changes will be communicated prominently.
